Dr. Brian Khan is originally from Silver Spring, Maryland. He completed his undergraduate degree at Andrews University, followed by his medical education at Loma Linda University School of Medicine with a short detour to obtain his MBA in healthcare management at La Sierra University. Finding that being a jack-of-all-trades suited his personality, he went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Huntington Hospital where he was able to learn excellent patient care and participate on numerous quality improvement projects. He completed his Six Sigma certification and is a Just Culture Champion. These experiences fostered a deep interest in informatics, health IT, and using technology to better serve patients. He is very excited to join UCSD as a clinical informatics fellow. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering, spending time by the ocean, traveling, and food!
